Entries are now open for the MRS Operations Awards, or ‘Oppies’ as they are affectionately known.

Like the part of the sector they celebrate, the categories continue to adapt and flex, but the judges still ultimately want to hear stories about innovative solutions, maintaining quality and standards and how the people at the forefront of research are being supported.

*NEW CATEGORY* – We are delighted to announce a new category, the Innovation and Enterprise Award which recognises operations businesses, teams or individuals who demonstrate entrepreneurial spirit by introducing innovations, new work methods or identify new business opportunities that improve operational performance and delivery.

Entry costs for all categories are £185 + VAT (£222) per entry

You will be invoiced once your entry has been processed. If payment is not received by 16 July 2026, your entry will be withdrawn from consideration.

Entrants will be notified whether they are finalists at the end of July. All finalists will receive one free ticket (per category they are shortlisted in) to the Oppies party on 24 September 2026, where the winners will be announced.
